Stella Kilima

Senior Research Scientist, NIMR Headquarters
Ms Kilima is a senior research scientist working with the National Institute for Medical Research at the Headquarters in Dar es Salaam since 2007. Her area of research has mainly been health system research, Reproductive and Maternal Health and Tuberculosis.

Ms. Killima has a Master of Arts degree in Medical Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of sociology degree from the same University. She is hard working social scientists with a vast experience in health system and policy studies. Ms Kilima is a head of Policy Analysis and Advocacy Department since 2014, she participated in several health research activities and consultancy. Ms. Kilima was a coordinator to the consultancy work on Assessment of Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health (RMNH) quality of service in Njombe region, Tanzania the project was supported by UNICEF USA Funds 2015-2019.

Ms. Kilima also Participated as a facilitator in a number of policy briefs development training and Policy dialogues which involves policy makers, researchers and knowledge brokers. Since 2012 Ms. Kilima is being a member of Evidence-Informed Policy Network (EVPNET), which was established by WHO to promote systematic use of research evidence in health policy making
