HOSPITAL MORTALITY PATTERN AND CAUSES OF DEATH DISSEMINATION

The Tanzania’s National Institute for Medical Research conducted a study to assess the availability, accessibility and quality of hospital mortality data and causes of death in Tanzania. The study was carried out from July to December 2016. Realising the need to share the information widely and publicly, various media institutions were invited to participate in the dissemination workshops. This helped a lot to bring light on the issues raised during the study and dissemination workshop. Media institutions included Print, broadcasting (Radio/Television) and social media. Media played a major role in publicizing the dissemination in all five dissemination venues, namely Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Dodoma, Mbeya and Mwanza.
